Subject: Difficulties in Programming

Okay, I thought the problem was fixed, but it still exists (so-to-speak). I got the Pansat 3500S Receiver to initially load its original factory file with no problems. But when I tried to load the latest (or previous version) ****** software bin into it, and I tried at least over 20 times……the Pansat 3500S STB Loader would halt/stop between 70% or somewhere 90% - and give me a downloading error message. I have even tried re-loading the original Pansat 3500S software bin file again - with the same downloading error results. Any suggestions on what’s really going on with the Pansat 3500S?

The only thing to say is to use the right cable and start the download before the receiver fully boots up. You can shut down any firewall or antivirus, that sometimes helps. Trying a different computer also helps.

Well I finally got my Pansat 3500S up and working for sure this time. I think the STB Loader problem may be some type of configuration issue within the STB Loader itself…..I got it to work on a older model computer that uses Windows XP (with the latest service pack) – in the past, I really never had any problems programming anything with that computer – it’s very reliable. Previously….I tried several different computers with no results…..and all these computers were newer computers – using Windows XP (with the latest service pack). Keep in mind as I mentioned in an earlier post, that I did get the STB Loader (created by Pansat) to start – but it will crash half-way through using the newer computers.

Note: Also, I did use a newer STB Loader – created by BlackList, and I also tried the manufacture loader created by the Pansat Company on the Pansat 3500S Receiver – and that worked on my older computer too. I still confused on how I got it to work…..and by reading this – you are probably confused too. It seems to be a hit and miss issue. Which again leads me to believe the actual problem lies within the STB Software itself.

Well anyway – everything is OKAY now with my Pansat 3500S….and that’s what counts!
