My pansat keep on showing "n" and "0" and I can not use the downloader no more HELP.
After using the G-tool on my pansat 2500a. The Pansat stop working and I try to use the downloader to download the Pansat original bin on it but it keep on restarting and showing the "n" for a while and "0" on the receiver screen and reboot. There is no way I can use the downloader it's like it doesn't accept it anymore.
What shoud I do. The fact is that it was working before and after I've upload a file with the G-tools it stop working and giving me all those weard messages.
get everything ready to load to factory bin, ie, have everything hooked up to pc, with power switch on rear turned off. just as you release the factory bin, almost at rhe same time flip rear power switch on. it may not work the first time, but it will. good luck.
I am also having a similar problem. I found a boot60.bin file and followed the instructions below. At step 5, I get the an error message "error : model name does not correct". Is it because the boot60.bin (64kb in size) is corrupted? I then changed the name in Step 3. to "key:global" and it downloaded it, but the problem re-occured.
Any suggestions?? Is there a working boot60.bin file on this site?

First of all, Please check the serial cable first (this is very important)
1. Swtich unit off in back.
2. open the pansat downloader proggy 2300-2500-1500 downloader.exe file
3. Enter "Pansat 2500A" in stb type (no quotes)
4. Select Boot60.bin in Bin window
4. Turn on back switch
5. Before - - - - completes, start the download and let it finish.
6. Turn off pansat backswitch
7. Turn pansat back on
8. Now you should see Knightrider lights - - - - back and forth over and over. This is normal.
9. Now load the Pansat factory bin (Pansat 2500A-040730_224_api(N).bin) in 2300-2500-1500 downloader.exe
10 Make sure STB type says "Pansat 2500A" (no quotes)
11. Start download... let it complete. The reciever will reboot when done.
12 Turn unit off and on again with back switch. Let the pansat boot up all the way.
13 Load the ******_09-30-04_X-8500(2500pansat) or
Blacklist-X-85BL_0411_237_api.bin from Blacklist Tools and updates.zip
14 IMPORTANT -- CHANGE THE STB-TYPE to read "key:global" (no quotes)
15 Download the bin and let the receiver boot up by itself.
16 Now you are done... just load a good channel list and watch TV again.
my friends' reciever is giving him the "night rider light" trouble.. i have tried.. but couldn't fix it for him.. this is what i did: 6. Turn off pansat backswitch 7. Turn pansat back on 8. well.. i did that several times.. but whenever i hit download.. i get an error message "error : model name does not correct". i cant go anywhere pass the error message....
also.. the factory bin in this area is "Pansat 2500A_040607_222_api(N)"... yet the direction in here listed it as "(Pansat 2500A-040730_224_api(N).bin)".. is there a difference..? i cant seem to find the "224" any where..
and one more thing.. what's "boot60.bin" and where can i get it..
i really want to fix this night rider light problem for him.. dont feel like go buy another one..
