When the "Flash Update Fail" appears, that means:
1-You are using the wrong cable(for 2700 null).
2-You selected the wrong COM port.
3-You are using the wrong loader.
4-The bin file is corrupted.
5-The bin file was not unziped.

Start the download before the receiver fully boots up, that will work.

I keep doing that. It works for the 2500 but not the 2700.
The 2700 stays at on only for 2 second. Not enough time for download to start.
Any other solutions?

bogus knows just use the switch in the back of the reciever but make sure you have the bin loaded in the loader so as soon as you see the reciver's display hit the loader to load your reciver then you should have no problem.

I Have tried all 3 ways to download the files and all worked: On Pansat 2500A, 2700A and Coolsat 4000pro.
After the receiver connected to Pc and power with the back switch OFF, I download the loader for the receiver I am working on, and install the bin in it.
1- Soon as I saw the first night rider light I click download. Allways worked fine, in all 3 receivers. This is the way I prefer.
2 - Like they say in the manuals (Pansats and coolsat) with the receivers ON. Click download/connect and it worked fine too.
3- With the loader all set I click download and turn the back switch On. Worked fine too.
4- In the coolsat, with the loader ready, back switch On, clock on in the front with the red round light on, in the bottom, I just clicked CONNECT and download the bin just fine.
But I prefer when the loader is all set, and I see the first night rider light, just click download or connect and wait until the receiver reboots on. Than I turn the back switch OFF, unplug the receiver and remove the the null or straight cable that comes from the PC to the receiver. I have been doing this way since the bin 105 for Pansat 2700, and 128 for coolsat to the present 119 an NORW 109 and always worked fine. Trebla.
