Newbie with a question

I've got a pansat 2500a, that is somewhat up and working. I have a dish with dual LNB.

I have to go back and adjust the dish, I think I'm only locked on 119.

To get everything working I usually load the current bin, go to echo 8.6, set the freq, skew, disqe, etc.... and then satelite scan to get my channels. This is the only way I make it work.

For some reason when I load a channel list via gtools or channel master (lists found on the board), all of my signals go dead.

When I go to setup and look at the antana area, my the sats listed are gone and echo 110 and echo 119 are listed. I try to go back and put the freqency, scew, etc... but it never works. I end up having to go back to factory settings and reset the box for it to work again...

Any idea on what I've been doing wrong? I've spent hours reading and downloading but I cant figure out what I am doing wrong.

A channel list also has switch setting on it. If they don't match your setup you won't watch tv. Load the channel list you downloaded into channel master and double click the 119, or 110 sat. A new screen pops up and that is where you can check the switch settings. If they don't match yours you can change them and save it, then load it on.
