How do I know if I have 129 or 140 Bin? - ABA DSS

Hi guys:
I'm lost... How do I know if I have 129 or 140 bin
or where I can get it?
also what's the difference between channel list and bins?

what is the proccess to update the channel list?

At this point all my channels are black.
here is my system information

you have the 118 bin,need to change to the 140. everything you need is here in the site. just look. a bin is the program that makes the reciever unscramble the signal so you can watch tv.i have attached the new bin. to update a channel list just download a new list and install with channel master.

i just flashed my 2700a with the 140 bin, now iam getting the lights. how can i get it up and running again?

You may want to load the factory bin first just in case

Just download a channel list or do a scan of desaired satellites.

what you do is turn off the reciever with the switch on the back. then get the downloader and bin ready to flash. turn on the reciever [switch on back ] and as soon as the first lite comes on hit download. this will cure it.

I read in this forum that there is a better epg with this 140 bin, yet you need to do a little modification, which I'm still working on it myself

The EPG does work a lot better for me with the 140 bin.

Epg works on and off, but at the end it WORKS!!! for me, remember is FTA
