Dead 3500 anyone has any clue yet!! - ABA DSS

Does anyone have any idea about the 3500's going dead for the last month or so. I heard there is a fuse some where inside. Can anybody tell me where please. Thanks.

What do you mean by dead ? What happened when it went ? Did you try to jtag it yet ?

I hised mine up good, its dead too. IF I keep hitting the switch on the back to off and on I eventually see some numbers pop on the display but am unable to get it to load anything, I do not see the b-70 numbers

More then likley you'll need to J-Tag it. You can buy the cable on ebay, if you do buy it get the one from (taximan62), he includes all of the software and instruction that you need. try this site out http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...Pr3_PcY_BIN_IT

I just ordered it, I hope it comes in quick!
the weird part is sometimes I can get it to power up but it displays weird characters. I guess I'll just try to Jtag it. is it hard to open the reciever up?

Yea, I had the same problem with the 3500. I would turn it on and off several times and eventually weird characters would come up. When you J-Tag your receiver, make sure that you run the software that comes with the cable in "Windows 98/Me" mode, that's if you're running Windows XP
