ok...let me know where i am straying, but here is my situation. I have a regular direct TV dish (KTA or something like that) with one lnb...but it has 2 coaxial inputs. I started with only ONE coaxial (disconnected the other one) and plugged it directly to the receiver.
I plugged in my pansat 2700A and tried to get a signal on 110 and 119....i added echo7 and 8.6 satellites which are the right ones from what i have read. So on 110/echo8.6, i managed to get ~85% level and 45% quality...then i looked at echo7(119) and i got the same exact signal. (remember, one coaxial and set Disq to off)
Does this mean i can get a signal on both satellites with this setting? Can i just leave it as is, or should i connect the 2nd coaxial and put each on on different disq settings? I figure the fact that one coaxial gets both dishes should be fine.
Now, i tried leaving one, but the channel list i loaded that has 110 and 119 says i dont have any quality or level....dont know what happened. I rested back to factory and got my signals back (on the echo satellites above)...anybody got some advice for me? I didnt follow the tiewrap of a 2nd LNB as shown in these pictures...i got no signal on that....
The dish you have only gets 1 satellite. You need a dish with 2 lnb's, one for each sat. The signal you got on both settings was from the same sat. Get a 2 lnb dish.
Yupp, try to get another Indirectv lnb, actually if you got a epilleptical dish then you'll be ok, because it has capability for three lnbs 101.0, 110.0 and 119.0. Or if you get a D*shnetworth with a doubble lnb or a conbined lnb(two of them attached to each other), they you'll be golden.
