Channels lost on DN ??? - ABA DSS

So is it true that right now there are no channels working ? i'm asking because i have the 272 bin and i put a channel list that i could find reasonable and the keys seem to be the right ones but no channels are working ... so should i look for another channel list or is everything down from DN ? i hope you can clarify this for me thanks

there are some free radio channles that are always fta on dn.
but there are alot of locals that still work too.
id ditch the list,then scan your own for best results.as locals are spotbeamed now from 110.

The thing is this ... from my dish it comes only one cable hat supports both sats .. i kept just the basic from dn just to use their dish ... and i had DN for more than 5 years so my dish i think its a legagy type and if i scan i get a lot of double channels even triple .. but the locals it can't get them ... for some reason i don't know .... i live in northern california so i may need a new list or something at least with the locals. the funny thing is that with my old list that i had the locals it's so outdated cause i beleieve they changed Tp's and din't think that scan will get me some locals back... so should i request for some locals at the channel section ??? thanks

ah ok,do you know if that twin says DP on it or not?
what are your settings now?
you PROBLY have a dish pro lnb (DP).
in fact,im sure you have a dp lnb based on you saying an old list worked for you.(the twin legacy as only been incorperted in the bl bins for a short wile)

so what you want to do is delete all channles,tv and radio(or factory reset,witcher you prefer)
and then you want to do a blind scan for each bird,pick blind scan,then pick VERTICAL polarity only.do this for both 119/110.
and you will have a complete list with the locals in your erea with no duplicates buddy.

Find out for sure or post a picture if not sure of what type of lnb you got, but to me it sounds like a dishpro, again, take a look and read to see if you got the DP logo in the lnb.....good luck

Thank you guys .. you know i will do a check in the morning and post it .... and i will try tthe method that you said .. what i used to do was just do a blind scan on all the tp but each sat separate so probably that's why i got so many doble channels and most only from one of the sats even though i chosed one at a time .. do you guys know where i could find what is the difference between the lecagy lnb and DP ? i would like to finally understand that .. thanks much ....

Oh and let me hjust post the settings that i have .. so .. it's pansat 2700 (obviously

) with a two cables from two dish .. on it''s set to IA5 and the other to the DN dish .. both go in the diseq .. on it's on #2 the DN and the other on the #4 ... i have the 272 bin from BL and a channel list that i have ... for reasons of believeing that i do the right thing ... changed it through channel master .. from DP concerted it .. i guess to the legacy .. the ones with tps that are H and V ... i think i have tried once a DP channel list the one only with V tps and as i remembered it didn't quite work .. so thats how i came up to the idea it might be a legacy type ... so maybe it wasn't a good list .. but ill keep posted .. thanks

difference is dp has a logo that you can read from a good distance. legacy is blank. Dp has a built in switch, legacy needs a switch usually two cables come out the lnbs into a switch, then a single one comes out to the receiver after both signals are combined by the switch. My set-up worked this way; I got to the roof then ran a single direct line to the receiver and connected to the 119.0 port. I checked for quality signal until it has a decent level on tp 5 it used to work for tp 3. Next look for 110.0, which is a little to the right if you are standing behind the dish. In order to make this work, the set up in the receiver has to be without diseqs #1 2 3 etc cuz you'll have conflict and may think you got 119.0 but instead you got 110.0 or viseversa. Now that you confirmed that 119.0 has quality signal by itself and 110.0 too, boom bang, you are good to go. Tighten the bolts in the dish so it locks signal in both. Now you can use diseqc #1 for 119.0 (if you got your coax comming out 119.0) and diseqc #2 for 110.0. Now notice that for these instructions above you must have a dishpro or dish pro plus. I'm not sure what IA5 is on your set-up but I would try first getting quality level by changing your settings on the diseq section. I'll go with diseqc #1 & 2 or viseversa. Make sure you have a true DISEQC, cuz you may have a splitter and that won't work cuz that decreases signal. Okay I hope this helps

oK than mine is Dp too .. but here is the thing .. i have tried to blind scan the sats and it came up only with some locals but no other channels .. bearly got some hbo and stuff but none of them were working not even after i have put the keys ... now if it is a Dp than why still i have after i blind scanned it on V polarity it came up with tps with H polarity as well ... plus that i had good signal in some H tps .. so i don't know what to say ... i will find out more i guess when eveything is going to get better ... thanks

The thing is if you do a blind scan on each sat 1 at a time with no switch and only 1 LNB hooked up it don't matter what you have you will get the channels that is in your area. Blind scan on each sat with the other not hooked up and no switch. Then if you have all vertical TP's it is a DP. Also that eliminates the double channels and ghost channels. But I would wait till you get the new bin.

yes all bev is up with bin 272. just no ppv-porn(well sextv and venus *venus meaning the preview channle*works)
