Need a HD tunner if your tv does not have a HD tuner, most newer tvs have digital tuner and there are some new ones that have a built in HD tuner. If the the tv has a HD built in tuner then you are all good to receive HD local programing

over the air free locals!
hey go to walmart and pick up a "us digital" reciever and you can watch hd and digital signals over the air for free locals, that's what i did and works fine, as long as your tv has "s video" and "component" -(red blue green) it will work.

yea your correct, but you still can watch a crystal clear digital picture if you only have "s video" , but newer tv's now are coming out with red/blue/green " component" inputs, i have a 2 year old 27" toshiba tv that has the "componet" inputs and my 42" phillips plazma tv has the over the air free locals reciever built in that i also get hd and digital locals free.

I also got 42" wide tube flat HD but haven't used the antena since it does not have a built in HD tuner. I checked on Wallstmart for prices but deffinetely flybay has it cheaper. Someday the HD fta will be out there, I may get it depending in the support that is available for such unit.
