Re: Help :( - Getting closer, but still no dice...
Well, of all the ones available.. I just want plain old simple d1sh or b3ll... Which sat should I aim at for each?
Name and Position. -- I'll get ahold of a compass and tweak my aim.

Re: Help :( - Getting closer, but still no dice...
when you are in the antenna setting you might be getting a ghost signal on different birds, but with only 1 LNB you'll be able to get only one bird.
So if you are aimed at 91W and you switch over to different bird and scan its channels, you'll either get duplicate channels from 91W or nothing at all. You need additional LNB aimed at another bird in order to pick up its channels.
This is a good site to have and a plain old compass to help you aim your dish:
DishPointer.com - Satellite Dish Pointer / Alignment Calculator with Google Maps
And 91W is BEVs primary bird, 82W carries mostly HD channels.

Re: Help :( - Getting closer, but still no dice...
I like Nimiq 1.3(91W) or Echo8/10(110)
Nimiq has been hit with an ECM and DN may have also or will be shortly.

Re: Help :( - Getting closer, but still no dice...
auto rolling is where after load new bin you put on a ppv chanell and let the box auto detect keys. i don't think this is an issue right now cause you don't know what sat you are pointing at

Re: Help :( - Getting closer, but still no dice...
Ok. It STILL does not work.
I'm aiming at Nimiq. I know this, because the list shows canadian TV and radio stations. So, I have the right bird.
Still, when I go to sort by provider, the only provider is "Unknown". And the channels are scrambled. I get a handfull of informational channels, that all say "Bell" (again, right bird).
It seems my dish doesnt know these are BEV channels and isnt trying to decrypt them. Why is this happening?

Re: Help :( - Getting closer, but still no dice...
I think you should hit the sort button next to the [0] then pick [service ID]
I can get channel lists from them, but I can't decode the channels. When I click "Sat" on my remote to sort what channels I see (either fta or pay, from which bird, etc) .. for "Provider" the only choice is "Unknown" -- Shouldnt it say B3ll or d1sh? I think this is where the problem lies?
Anyone with me on this?[/quote]

Re: Help :( - Getting closer, but still no dice...
to fix this you have to take off all the cables at the switch.set your sat you want to hit.one at a time...easyer to bring a tv (little one)and your box out side were you are going.you can work better thair in sted of going back and forth to the tv in side....set you sat and set your switch to (lnb1,lnb2,lnb3,lnb4)make shoure your right...i think that is your probem?your sat are not set in order......start with 119 lnb1,...... first..thats what id do ,once set.next sat little over to left 110lnb2.... 92 bev lnb3 .......82 bev lnb4
