Re: How To Load Sv-4000 With Usb Memory Stick
Hi, What is the easiest way to reload your system? I have a sv1000 and a 4000. Would using the usb memory stick for the 4000 be the easiest?

Re: How To Load Sv-4000 With Usb Memory Stick
to load a file using usb you most first down load the file. this means that you should subscribe to a site that supports it. That what I did. after I got my membership I was granted permissions to download the files needed to flash the new bin file. if you try one of these non-subscription sites you will get junk trust me I tried that and I got junk. subscribe then go to the link for the sonicview file downloads click on file choose open, then extract it to your usb thumb/pen drive. then just insert it in your machine, go to the menu button and select installion menu, scroll down to usb mass storage press the ok button, it will then show your drive. press update it will show you the bin files on the pen drive, select the newest one by scrolling to it, up dn arrow keys, then press the red button that is next to the green button that is close to the number keys. it will start the down load by its self. do not remove the usb pen drive until the box shuts it self off and then restarts (that is real crititcal) if ypu have a dish net sat try to scan echostar 8,10 and echostar 7 by selecting them and pressing the scan sat button, this takes awhile, ten minutes or more somtimes (do not use blind scan as it will take forever and does not work that well) There are setting that you need to know about the differant sats that you can scan and that gets pretty complacated, you will need to do a bit of reading. after the sats have scanned you should have to press finish, then do the next sat you want to scan. again press finish. after that press the exit button and wait about five minutes for the first time. if no channels come on the press the epg button and see if you have done the scans correctly as the channels will show up there. if you see channels you should try a channel like the history channel. if you do not see channels in the epg menu then you have not scanned the sat correctly or you neeed to find the ones that are compatable with your dish. THIS IS A HOBBY it will take time and patiance to figure it all out but that is what make it fun, I like a good brain treaser and this hobby is keeps me there... I bought one of these units and having never used FTA before I was up in about an hour, it took me weeks to get enough info to start getting all the goodies. well god luck to you, but if you dont want a hobbie then pay the cable company

Re: How To Load Sv-4000 With Usb Memory Stick
lalinka if you try and go to free sites right now the servers are all overloaded or down so the litte money this site charges to help keep it going is well worth it. there are currently 4417 members online and running flawless! i think its worth every penny
