Re: Testing Sonicview 4000
Tirconnell, take your batt out of the remote and put them in backwards IE Pos to Neg on both. Don't TOUCH the buttons leave for a couple of mins then put in the correct way and your Remote will be much better, you will not have to point it at the receiver it makes it a wide operation. hope this helps LOL: Limeyde P.S. The SV 4000 is one of the best receivers period, it took me a week to understand it fully I have recomended it to all my friends.

I am trying to set up a sonicview for a friend...i had it going at my house but when he took it home and hooked it up he didnt get any channels. I am thinking his dish isn't pointed right maybe?? He gets some channels on Nimiq 2 but they come of for a minute then they freeze (on B3V by the way)
he gets nothin on Nimiq 1, 3 9 (which is the on I had it on at my place and was getting all the channels) Any ideas??
Also do sonicviews have a special channel for inputting the "keys" I know on coolsat the channel is 8282 just wondering if the sonicview has one?
Thanks!!

His dish is not aimed right, try aiming and then try rescanning. To enter keys manually. Go to menu / entertainment / enter 7,8,9,0 and ok. Then enter keys. The auto roll for Dish is working great...
