Sonicview 4000 Remote Control Tune Up ,,,
I noticed on my SV-4000 that the remote had to be pointed Dead On to the receiver to work properly , One Degree off and it would Not Respond .
Here is a Quick & Simple Fix that worked for me with my Sonicview-SV-4000 remote .
To change the remotes sensitivity to High I just reversed the Batteries for 5 Min's . Change the position of the Batteries to Negative to Positive and Do Not Touch the remote for 5 Min's . Then change the Batteries back to the Proper Installation and now you should be able to bounce the remotes signal off the ceiling to control the Receiver , Worked for me Like a Champ ,,,

Never had that problem. Mine works no matter were I point it. Reversing polarity can damage your remote. Surprised your still works. And not all your buttons will work on your 4000 remote. It all depends on your setup on the ones that work and the ones that don't. New to this forum, me like.

Re: Sonicview 4000 Remote Control Tune Up ,,,
I just starting using my SV-4000 after having it on a tv I rarely used. Within three days the STB button started blinking rapidly and won't shut off no matter what. SV makes the cheapest quality remote I have ever seen on an FTA. Shame on them for that. My Coolsat's remote is of fantastic design and quality.
