If your signal & quality are below 75%, you will not get any pictures. If you are using DP Twin, Plus & Quad, please follow my setup above. Right now, I don't think that you hit any birds. Do this, try to find 119 first then skew for th 110

Re: Here Is The DP Pro LNBs setup For Sonicview
Hi!
Thanks, as always for the great help. I am quite a newbie here, so forgive me if I don't get the lingo.
I understand that you have provided the software setup for twin recievers in this conversation. I already have a Sonicview 4000 which is hooked up for 110. I was just given another dish, which I would like to add to my system.
I have two questions:
1) I know that you can buy some kind of 110/119 bracket that automatically aligns the dish once you have the 110. Do you know what it is called and where I might locate one?
2)I assume I need the "DB PRO LNB" in order to bring the signals together through the receiver. Do I? What is it? Should I expect two cables (one from each dish) coming into the receiver, and then placed in a specific slot, or is there something completely different that I need coming from the dishes which join them together for one incoming feed? If so, what is this called and where do I buy one?
3)once the actual physical changes are made, I expect that I just set the software to the config you have supplied, and then scan 'the birds' one by one. However, usually once you scan a bird you have to accept the change, which auto rewrites over the channels that were previously held. How do I go about scanning each one separately but save both channel lists as one?
Thanks again for all your help!

Re: Here Is The DP Pro LNBs setup For Sonicview
Since you already have 110, just attach another lnb to your left (behind the dish) to get 119. use 4x1 switch connect both signal together, connect port 1 for 119 & port 2 for 110. Change your dish setting to match with the switch setting, then you're good to go

ummmmmmmm...what? Sorry, I am still pretty dense about this stuff. I am sorry to ask you to dumb this down a bit, but could you please respond in order to my three questions so that I can follow....I gather this is pretty easy to do, but can't envision it in practical terms. for example, i looked up what an LNB is, but I don't see how this works with the extra dish.....
thanks again

Re: Here Is The DP Pro LNBs setup For Sonicview
Hello everyone.
Hello Grasshopper. I have been trying to make my brand new SV-4000 work with my DishPro 500. I changed all H transponders of 110 & 119 to V. I then scanned those two birds. I could get all the channels, but the pictures were so poor. I don't know for sure if I 've got clone receiver. I tried to change LNB type to OCS-DP but the receiver did not obey. All I could get is SINGLE, UNIVERSAL and OCS. Could you, Grasshopper, or someone tell me how to set up LNB type = OCS-DP. Thanks.

Re: Here Is The DP Pro LNBs setup For Sonicview
with all the cables plugged into the dish and the settings do i receive any low quality without adjusting the satellite yet? on the coolsat, i remember when i set it up without adjusting the dish it shows very low quality.
i don't want to be on the roof adjusting the dish if the set up isn't correct. the specs given on this topic is adjusted the same way as the receiver. nothing different. 119 lnb is set up on port 1 on diseqc switch and 110 on port 2 diseqc switch. then 1 wire running to the receiver.

If your is Legacy Twin LNB, do not use that setup above, that setup is for DP LNB only

There are a lot of reasons for low signal & quality. it could be bad cable line, bad connections, your dish is a little off, etc.
If you are using Legacy twin, use the same setup as above, just change your LNB type to single. if signal & quality are still low, then you will need to get up there and adjust your dish.

Re: Here Is The DP Pro LNBs setup For Sonicview
Grasshopper, I used your setup instructions as listed in your sticky, however.... When I use your settings for EchoStar 7, in the top right hand corner above teh signal meter, it says EchoStar 6,8 110.0W....... I guess even though I told it to do E*7 @ 119 on port 1, it thinks otherwise??
Please let me know whats going on if you have a clue. Thanks

Re: Here Is The DP Pro LNBs setup For Sonicview
I have the same issue. When I use the settings for EchoStar 7, EchoStar 6,8 110.0W appears in the top right hand corner above the signal meter.

Re: Here Is The DP Pro LNBs setup For Sonicview
I am having the problem of the ECHO 6,8 110 box above the signal meter when I try to scan echo 7. I am going to try the setup for the DiSEqC port 1 on echo 7 119 and port 2 on echo 6,8 110 and see if that works. When I changed to port 1 on echo 7 my signal and quality dropped. So I am going to check my dish aiming. My lnb is a Dish pro quad.
