How To: Set Up 118W Anik F3 with Sonicview

33 inches with Circular/Linear Polarization LNB for 118.7/119, with Sonicview-4000

Hardware Need:
Circular/Linear Polarization LNB for 118.7/119. This LNB allows to receive the 118.7 & 119 signals at the same time. It's a special circular lnb that has a low frequency of 10750. Use this with a 33" dish, to receive both signals 118.7/119..


LNB SPECS
Polarization: Circular
Input Frequency: 11.70 - 12.75 GHz
LO Frequency: 10.750 GHz

1. Remove the LNB from 121W and replace with New LNB 118W/119W.

2. Next, you have to set the receiver antenna config.

Satellite: Echo7 119W
LNB type: Single
LNB FREQ: 10750
TP Freq: 12224 {put on 12239 to verify S & Q }

If you are using multi switch, just set it according to how you connect them. Now you can move you dish and point it to 119W, just make sure you get a good and strong S & Q for 119W. once you get 119W, 118W is already there. Next set up for 118W.

3. back into dish setting and set up 118W, from the sat list, selecting Anik E1, and set as below:

Satellite: Anik E1 118.0W
LNB type: Single
LNB FREQ: 10750
TP Freq: 11715

Note: if your setting is correct, you should get quality level, if not try to change the TP Freq to the next one, because there are 2 set of TP info in Anik E1; one is AnikE1 TP infor and one is Anik F3 TP infor, these 2 birds has similar same TP freq except the symbol rate are different. I have included the complete correct anik f3 tp at below.

Once all setting are done, now you can do the SAT SCAN.
