Hi all,

Here is a how-to installing adapter and module onto your SONICVIEW SV-HD8000

1) Turn OFF the receiver and unplug the power from the outlet

2) Unscrew 5 screw (2 on each side, and 1 in the back) to remove the case cover

3) Remove the module bracket

4) Remove the sticker in the rear

3) Connect 2 cables to the sub-board

4) Connect the sub-board to the module .
Please be careful that Parts mounted surface should be up.

5) Connect LNB Power cable from the power supply board to the sub-board connector.

6) Connect the cable with the smaller connector from the sub-board to the connector of PCB
Please make sure the red cable should be in #1 pin.

7) Connect the cable with the smaller connector from the sub-board to the connector of PCB
Please make sure the red cable should be in #1 pin.

8) Fit the module thru the hole(reserved for the UHF remote antenna)in the rear of the receiver tight it up using nut & washer

9) Connect a loop thru cable connecting the IF Output and the module input

Open & Un-modded

Size comparison to the front of the receiver. Note the 5 each small screws and foam spacer. The foam spacer is used to support the module and sub-board asslembly inside the receiver and the screws are for the housing cover

You have two lines the same addressing the small cable and none on the other cable as to where it should go since the motherboard has two plugs that it would fit.

For DN now but once Bev goes Map4 then it will be fore both.

What to look out for when buying this adapter? I have seen some without the metal case....just the boards. Wondering if they are clones or something.....

The Clone types( Circuit Board types) actually run better, they run Cooler than the Metal Case type.
