Turning HD on

I have a 3500sd, but the screen show the digit 8226, then I can not download the bin, is any body can help

but yeah,never scan if its reading incorrect bird.
there are only so many channels in HD.most of them are on 129.
there is more on 82w but you need another dish at some point.

22KHz: Off
LNB Power: On
Transponder: 12224
Search option: All
Network search: On
DISEqC: Port 1
Motor: Disable
Legacy Switch: Off

while in tv mode,
press the sat button on your remote.(bottom left)
select echo7.
list a handful of channels you see listed buddy.

what do you have for a tv and what kind of cable/s are you using?

I am using a new Panasonic Plasma. I have a pretty thick HDMI cable and I am not sure what other cables I have. The guy who installed it used to work for DirectTv.

But there are a bunch of HD channels I am not getting. Channels like: HBOHD and CinemaxHD. How do I get those?

Also, I noticed some regular channels carry HD programs. Why can't I receive those programs in HD?

while in full screen mode.press the yellow button.
set those to match your tv.

press the sat button and select echo 5.

when your on a hd channel look at the info bar.see the HD icon on top right?
when you find a hd channel,that will light up.
and down below that,it displays 720p or 1080i
if it shows 480i and the HD icon is off,its a standard def channel.

but,hd should be night and day difference anyway lol.
