Re: HD8000_V0400 signal lost test file 08-06-08
I've tried both factory updates still not working trying to scan free FTA channels that you pickup without service on dish network like (NASA, DISH DEMO, SHOP, ORDER, BTV, INFO, ETC...) still i just get same screen on all the channels NO SERVICE OR SCRAMBLED is it a good idea to contact SONICVIEW via email or call tech support & just pretend your also using it for FTA Please let me know thanks again

remove the diseqc switch and just setup one lnb and see if that works.
Also, what are your settings in the dish setup menu?

Great, glad to hear you got it working, good job.
This is the 8psk version of how to get your lost signal and quality back.

1. Factory reset
2. remove 8psk (or unhook all internal wires from receiver boards)
3.install factory bin
4.set up all antennas ( at this point all my signals and quality had come back)
5. Scan your chosen birds except for the 129.
6.install 8psk mod
7.scan 129
It took me 2.5 weeks of reading and testing to figure this one out but now I am up and running, I hope you are too.
PS Thanks to all the regular testers out there, it takes alot of patience and I now have a whole new respect for you guys...

Re: HD8000_V0400 signal lost test file 08-06-08
You are getting the FTA channels, so there is nothing wrong with your box.
Has to be a problem with your lnb or settings for the lnb.
That's a real nice picture of your lnb on the previous page.
I don't have experience with this lnb model.
the only thing I can recommend is to try a different lnb, or even a different kind of lnb.
Maybe someone with experience with that lnb can jump in here and give some advice.

Re: HD8000_V0400 signal lost test file 08-06-08
Lost quality again.
I was testing v402p and lost quality on all sats.
I'm always looking for different ways to get the quality back when this happens, so here is what I did this time.
1. go to channel 100, DIK free home channel
2. turn off switch in the back, wait 10 seconds, turn switch back on.
This was a lot easier than what I had to do in the past, which was load factory files and resets, and scan all the sats. I'll be trying this again if I lose quality again.

Lost quality while testing v408p.
Same simple solution as above post.
