sv8000hd powers on by itself
have a new sv8000hd. when i turn the unit off with the remote, normally within @ 2 min. or so, it turns itself back on. does anyone have the same problem, and does anyone have a solution to the problem. and the remote buttons normally require you to tap the buttons two or three times before the button actually works. i.e., to get to the menu, i have to tap the menu buttons three or four times before it goes to menu.....help is greatly appreciated.

Re: sv8000hd powers on by itself
the only other thing I know is a factory default. write your settings down and do the default. you will have to select your sats and scan your channels again after you reset your settings.

Re: sv8000hd powers on by itself
turn it off and then take the remote to anothe room and leave it if it turn on with the remote not anywhere close time to try and do a factory flash try that and come back .. this way we know if it is the reciever or the remote

Re: sv8000hd powers on by itself
what do you mean what does not work ?? does the tv turn on or stays off .. if it stays off then it is the remote
to default the remote hold down stb button and the ok button at the same time the led will light up hit the numbers in 001 then hit ok now the remote is defaulted
see if it works then
