SV8000HD 8psk A-1 module???

hey all,

I'm a newbie.

I have the SV8000 HD. I baught the new A1 module (1 piece). When I go to external modules It detects it but when I scan the sats I have Quality but no signal. When I turn it off I am able to get all the stations, So I know dishes are fine. I have 2 Dishes, 1 with 2 transponder and the other with 1 attached to a switch. I can get about 8 different sats. Also I attached an attenna to the rear of the box, but when I try to do a DTV scan (VHF High, Low, and UHF) I get nothing. What am I doing Wrong. And why does it feel like my box goes off atleast once a week, I have to keep updating the bins?
