cloning?

Umm wondering if anyone has cloned a dead unit with sucess? sv8k that is.

i hear and as far as i see, my sv is dead, umm so now i am looking for options besides it being a doorstop like someone said or a paper weight?

if the tsop is looped or screwed then how does one fix it? jtagging i dunno?

no display on unit.. just awee red timer light.. will not take an upload. via serial or usb. tryed a lot of diffrent methods but no luck.. swapped fuse. swapped switch, green lights are on the main unit and voltage seemed to test noraml.. um the only other thing is a power supply which i am waiting for.. i hope it works cause that would be crappy. i am running the adapter as well. the first theing i did was take the adpter out and tryed to load it.. the usb just has one week i mean week blink. i know my serial port works cause i load my cs5k with it.. anywys hope someone can help

I don't think the cable you use for the cool sat will work with the SV8000, didn't you get one with your receiver?? Maybe that's why the cable didn't work with the SV. Let us know what your progress is. Thanks

When you disconnect your receiver from the cables and electrical outlet, do you turn off the rocker switch on the back first???

cs 5000 use straight cable and for sv you need a null cable body

argh i tryed the other cable and no go... what is the diffrence between the cables they look the same? when i hit the i on the loader program it says stb not connected or version not supported
