booting
every time i load the new bin it starts to down load and gets to about 2or 3 percent and goes in to booting and some times it will load 100 percent after about 50 tries i am using a serial cable i have not yet tried it threw memory stick any body else with this problem

May be the file is corrupted. Download it again, unzip and load the box.

You may find that a memory stick is the quickest and cheapest solution, serial cables can get old over time, perhaps its a serial port issue, so for about $10.00 get yourself a 1G (or larger) mem stick and dedicate it to your STB.

I have never gotten vista to load anything with serial....just card & stick

Did you get it resolved? A cheap memory stick is the best (the smaller the better, 512mb). Maybe try to reformat it and then dl the file again, unzip, and load the mem. stick again then try to load the stb again. Before you start, do a hard reboot, then put the mem stick in
and try that. Let us know how you are doing. Thanks
