You would be very happy with DN echo5 (129) most are broadcast @ 1080, and as I told a friend the sooner you get on the wagon the longer the ride. But it is up to you

Re: should i wait to buy a sv8000

The SV8000 is a nice unit (some say it offers the best HD pic) however, given the current state of things with respect to N3, perhaps you might consider the nFusion HD.

Something to think about.

Don't want to High jack here,,But your saying once N3 hits and when it hits..
if you got the sw8000 or whatever HD stb you will still be watching all the HD channels................

Re: should i wait to buy a sv8000

When the end of N2 arrives, it is expected that few units will have channels right out of the gate. There will likely be a period of darkness. For how long? Well, that is the million dollar question.

As of this post, the nFusion units, are the only units that I am personally aware of that has had some success with the work-around they have utilized - allowing them to offer a wide range of entertainment options from the 91 and 82 airspace.

So, if you are in the market for a new unit now, that's a brand you'll want to consider.

Re: should i wait to buy a sv8000

this question is commonly asked.

my response:
NEVER buy an fta receiver for hacked tv.
always buy it for true fta.
hang a dish with motor and it should be worth it.
hang a C band bud with any HD unit and its for sure worth it.

find any other use to go along with that is gravy.

so i say of course get one.the sv 8k is also a multimedia player.-always tv. with of course your owned "dvd backups" only.
