Re: step by step 82.0 solution
Sometimes it will fail, try it again. If need be close Wiznet, reopen, Search, then upload.

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
Your question which you've asked a few times is missing an important word serial NUMBER, cause it also has a SERIAL PORT. Please be as specific as you can to avoid frustration.
In your IP config under Menu>Insatllation>IP Config
is where you input the IHUB serial NUMBER.

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
I can get to the bottom of step 5, Click upload and install rom0100 and I get a failed to upload error. I have been trying all day and now I can't even get my SV8000 to even see the ihub, no ipconfig in the menu.
I have tried everything I think.
Help, my wife wants me to throw the box in the trash and actually sub to dave.
I hate to pay to watch commercials, they should pay me to do that.

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
jrs200 are you sure you wrote down the correct ip address and subnet mask that you got from the local ethernet port in step #2 cause some people just write the first address they see and the first one is for wireless lan( for me at least). Just make sure you do step #2 correctly and it should work for you.

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
Thanks for the reply, I am using Vista. And when I do ipconfig here is what I get,
using a linksys wrt54gl using dd-wrt v34 firmware.
IPv4 192.168.1.129
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1
What happens is when I do the cable from my pc to the hub and put in 192.168.1.129 it gives me an error saying I am already using that ip address. So it won't allow me to flash my hub.
Also if I change the ip to my last working ip 192.168.1.116 it says fail to upload. But if I connect it to my router it flashes no problem.
But I still can't see ip config in the SV menu.
I hope this is enough info for you all.
Thanks again folks!!

I have tried that several times and have waited for a few hours even.
At least now it does say "network adapter doesn't connect.
I do see it in my router LAN setting. It is listed as WIZ1x05 other numbers follow and the ip is 192.168.1.117. But if I goto dos and do a ipconfig I get 192.168.1.127. Which one should I use in WIZ? I can flash with 192.168.1.117 but not with .127.

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
I hub not connected or Noticed by 360. Reboot reconect reboot. Same problem others are having I think these I hubs were rushed out in anticipation of the expected demand and some are missing the firm were or the beginning software needed. 360 should at least notice the I hub when you connect it. Im returning for another one. Their is clearly some diffrence in the i hub software . If some go smooth and some dont. Does any one know how to run This MS DOS as described above for vista?? Im shaving my head so I cant keep pulling out my HAIR!!!!

It makes me wonder if something is wrong with some of the Ihubs. I have worked on mine all weekend. Actually every sence I got it. I would not refer anyone to an ihub, stay away and wait for a real fix.
You can get into dos by hitting start and type cmd in the start search at the bottom.
Then type ipconfig at the dos prompt.
I wonder if this is a vista thing?
Anyone having problems and are running vista?

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
I agree. I believe these things are pretty unstable. I've been working with mine for days, off and on. I got it to upload ONE TIME ONLYafter trying for hours. But the next morning WIZNET showed it as back to the 82 rev. Now it won't connect at all to my laptop. Up until today I had to hard boot the SV8000 everytime I tried to upload, otherwise the search would fail. And again today, nothing. I realize these are beta devices but this is pretty ridiculous. Really frustrated....

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
jrs200 you are not doing the right steps, are you sure when you do IPconfig on dos you are writing the adress for the ethernet port not for wifi, cause you shouldn't be getting anything for default gateway, at least I dont. Also make sure that you are connecting the ihub directly to your ethernet port on your computer. I am also running vista I am pretty sure you are not writing down the right address. If you have aim PM me and I will help you step by step.
