step by step 82.0 solution
Ok everyone I have the step by step solution to get that pesky 82.0 and failed to upload message here it goes, and remember you have to follow step by step. you will need sysclean bin, factory file bin, 445 bin and 460 bin.
Step #1: Installing bins in exact order I have and do a hard reboot after each bin is installed.
1) install sysclean bin
2) factory file bin
3)445 bin
4)460 bin
Step #2: (IF YOU HAVE VISTA TURN FIREWALL OFF)Run ms dos and type ipconfig and hit enter, write down the IP address and subnet mask you have for the ethernet adapter local area connection. There will not be a default gateway.
Step #3: Connect Ihub into your box and turn it on. Plug ethernet cable from Ihub straight to your computer. STRAIGHT INTO YOUR COMPUTER NOT ROUTER.
Step #4: Open wiznet and click search, once it reads your ihub go to the options tab and put 0 in inactivity time, time, size and char. Make sure password and serial configuration are disabled(enabled is not checked). Once you do that click setting and it should save.
Step #5: Go back to network tab and in local ip and subnet write down the address that you got from ms dos in step #2. Leave gateway as it is and make sure you put 1920 in port. Uncheck use dns and above in server ip put 77.93.75.89 and 1920 in port. Now check use dns and put the same address you have for gateway down. In domain name write WWW.SVFTAIKS.XXX (xxx as in male orgasm lol) I hope you guys are not too stupid to get that. Now click dhcp and then click setting and it should save. Click upload and install rom0100 and once that is finished click upload again and install 1.4
step #6: Close wiznet and reopen it. You should see 1.4 in the version box where 82.0 used to be. If you do, you have successfully installed 1.4, now unplug ethernet cable from computer and plug back into router. Get bin 462 and install it to your box via usb and do a hard reboot. Once you do that you should have IP config back in your stb menu. Now once you have IP config back go to it and setting type should be DHCP in use dns put no and in the server IP write down 77.93.75.89 and apply ok. GO back to ip config, now put use dns back to yes, Server port should be 1920 and of course write down your unique Ihub serial number and hit apply.
Now you should be able to watch tv, This is the best I could do and I tried to write down as specific as I could but I am not that good with words so pardon if you did not understand some of my explanations. GOOD LUCK.

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
Am I the only one out there still having trouble with this? Man I've gone through this procedure several times now and still no upload. When I open Wiznet and do the search, it see's a card but I'm still getting the ver. 82 and "not connected. And I'm plugged directly into my laptop from the IHub!
Thought I was somewhat computer/ network savvy but this is really frustrating!

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
I really think it's a problem with the IHub not being recognized by the STB. I've read other posts here where you plug in the IHub, fire up the stb and will take 30 seconds or so to interface. My stb has never done that. Ever. I've booted the box the IHub in. Bo0ted the box and then put the IHub in. Numerous times and never seen any indication from the stb that it see's the hub. I don't see the ipconfig on the menu either.
Do I have a bad IHub ya think??

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
hhawg, after you get yours figured out, you will probably be able to improve on cakegetter's procedure or explanation. It looks like Cakegetter has done a really good job of getting the ball rolling. ABA is great place b/c there is a lot of expertise and very little ego.

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
I agree with all your threads -- H HAWG , im on nite 2 of trying to figure this out -- i have exactly same questions you have -- done every upload in book above and upload failed -- i agree - i dont think ihub if reading anything? i have no ipcong either. i wish someone would explain that. -- when does that show up ? soon as you plug in ihub and hook up to desktop? also -- does reciever give any indication of external module like it did when i added 8spk board? i am truely stumped, spent 200 bucks on ihub and also 2 net gear power line adaptors and 2 nites wasted --. i am gonna give up -- unless someone can help wiht basic answers -- when should ipcong on reciver show up? does that have any impact on WIZNET -- also when i try to hook ihub directly to computer, i need to take out my cable/internet provider feed as i only have 1 outlet in back for that kind of jack . . looking for more answer and suggestions for 2 nites of fustration.

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
I just got in on this but just a quick note... ipconfig is a program you need to run from ms-dos on your computer it is not going to just pop-up. from what instructions say you need to run that to get ip info for your ethernet port.

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
It shows a mac address for one device in the list in the Wiznet(?) box. But it still shows the version 82 and Not Connected. I "assume" that means it see's the IHub but if so, why won't it upload? Also I don't see the ipconfig on the menu screen anymore of my SV8000

Re: step by step 82.0 solution
I just got home and am glad to see that this is working for some of you, all it takes is a little patience. If you follow the instuctions step by step I'm sure it will work trust me. It took me almost 3 full days of trial and error before I got it to work and credit goes to dogg from another site who got the ball rolling, and with a minor few tweaks I was good to go. If you are still having trouble try steps 2 to 5 all over again and I guarantee it will work, it just takes patience. Good luck guys.
