Re: help my sv hd8000 is stuck on booting
very common problem....there is a cap or caps blown on your power supply board you can tell they are blown if the top of them is rounded or bubbled.....
you can replace them yourself or get a new power supply board from sonicview..... |

Re: help my sv hd8000 is stuck on booting
it's the cap's that are the problem!!!
could be one of 3 or 4 that could be bad!! Check the chat rooms for details on how to change !! I did mine and it works great now. Not too hard to change. I had the same problem!! The cap's are cheep on ebay Freight will be the biggest charge. |

Re: help my sv hd8000 is stuck on booting
Might also want to try this first:
ABA DSS - Free to Air Satellite TV Community - View Single Post - USB stick and UD Error fix info/Stuck on Booting Or this: C/P Here is the steps to revive your receiver if it gets "stuck on booting" where the display stays on booting and doesn't complete and reboot. 1. Do a clean FAT32 format on your USB stick. 2. Load the latest update bin file to the USB stick. 3. Turn the rear power switch on the receiver OFF. 4. Plug your USB stick into the receivers USB port. 5. Now do a forced load by pressing the MENU button on the front panel of the receiver and at the same time switch the rear power switch ON. Continue to hold the MENU button until you see "LOAD USB" on the front panel then release Menu button. It will then boot from the USB stick. End C/P Good luck, Sp0iler |

I would start by replacing C10 and C24 Caps. Both Caps are 1000Uf 10 Volt Replace with 1000Uf 16 Volt -----Or any 1000Uf Cap with a higher Voltage rating that will fit. They are available at any decent electronics shop for under $1 each. When replacing make sure you have polarity correct. Polarity is marked on the circuit Board The white stripe on the side of the unit is the Neg Polarity, also neg lead is always shorter lead. They will explode when powered if they are put in backwards. Good Luck. |
