I think JC already got you going friend, & I'm not a 7000 or 8000 tester...but for the 4000 / 5000 / 6000 you can enter letters 2 ways.
Use the info button to enter letters or hit OK and a small window will open where you can select numbers or letters.
Just hope this will help you with more options.

It makes a lot of sense to enter new BIN and it's easy to do as we have all the info in the receiver section to help people with downloading new BIN's.

So if you have loaded the new bin don't worry about changing keys? Reason I ask is my father-in-law just got a CS8000 and he's 60+ and lives a few hours away. And I am probably going to have to drive out there and put the new keys in for him. Unless since I loaded the new bin on before I gave it to him I don't have to like stated above ????

Thanks for the welcome RICKSBEACH. Yeah I am semi-n00b to this whole thing. But pretty much got the hang of it all now.

Thanks bud, Once you have the loaded the newest BIN you will not have to worry about entering the keys again as the auto roll will work as sometimes it will last for months..
Have your father in law join too and then he can get everything he needs here on this site and we'll be happy to help him with any problems or questions that he may have.
All the info you need is in the CS8000 section in the forums.
If you need to upgrade your membership you can go here for more info as its well worth it in the long run..
