How to load your CS 8000HD

How to program your Coolsat 8000HD

Step 1
Download the current loader - CSUpgrade_v3.01.zip
Download the - CS8000HD-11153A.zip
Download the latest file -CS8000HD_11154F.zip
Download KeyUpdate V8.2.7 (KEYS section)
Downloand CS8000 Key Loader V1.zip


Unzip all your files into a folder where you can locate them.

Step 2
Run the loader and find file 11153a.sgn – Note here, older stbs use BIN files, 8000 uses SGN, you can change the option to SGN in the loader.
(MODE = Download, TYPE = Firmware, channels)
Make sure that you are connected to the right come port.
Turn on STB and when you see LD flashing in screen – PRESS START

Once that is finished, turn off STB and repeat steps to load the current file.
(It is my understanding that you do not need to re-flash 11153a file in the event of an upgrade to the SGN file).

Step 3
Run the Key update program – if you experience problems with missing ocx files, go back to the KEYS section and follow the instruction on how to add the necessary files (KeyUpdate-Dealing with Missing OCX or DLL errors)
After running this program, you will find the active keys on the bottom of the page. Close the page and you will be prompted to save the file – say yes. It will create a file called KEYS.KEY (you will need this for step 4)

Step 4
Open your key loader program, select the com port, press connect
Click on DOWNLOAD, you should be prompted to select the file that you want (Keys.key)
Turn on stb and let file load – HINT, this file loads fast, so don’t panic if you don’t see a progress report and it happens to just say done.


Now the fun stuff – Connect the CS and set up your sats and switches and DiSEqC and scan the sats for the channels.
Press MENU, go to ADVANCED MENU, press 1 2 3 4, go to NAGRAVISION, what ever sats you are looking for the keys should be there..
DN 000001 – 00 – keys
DN 000001 – 10 – keys
DN 000101 – 00 – keys
DN 00101 – 00 – keys

BV – 000801 – 00 – keys
BV – 000801 – 10 – keys
BV – 000801 – 01 – keys
BV – 000801 – 11 – keys

BV takes more time to autoroll the keys

that part I know it when I download it that I get wrong file it turns to picture file I go to some other place and gett with no problem

I need some serious help in getting my 8000 going. Can anyone help me? I have not been able to find the firmware only the BIN file. Also I cant get the CSUpgrade to download... Is it because I am not using the right files? Feedback would be great.... Email me @ CheenNLes@aol.com

hey all i have a question do u need win xp with a serial port on the pc to load on the 8000 ? because i have a mac ? and is this the reason i read that they are discontinuing the cs 8000?

Hi there all profesional. Is there any software can download/upload and edit channels for CS 8000HD. I used Channel Edit for CS 4000/5000. when I bought this SC 8000 and found out there is no software to do the job. I hate using the remote to move up/down/delete. If you got any software or know where to download please share.
