worst remote ever

I have a cs8000 and i'm in the process of setting it up. The reciever seems to be working fine but the remote sucks! I have just about had it with it. I'm getting ready to throw it against the wall! I have to hit the button 5,6, 7 times before the reciever responds to it. There are new batteries in it and it don't matter how close i am to the unit.

Is anyone else having this problem?

The Coolsat has a slow response to the remote, try hitting it once and then wait to see what happens.
I don't really like Coolsats but have to test on them for site reasons.
