Hello, the question is, did everyone have hd channels on dish network, or just bev. i have heard that the insides of the 8000 and 8100 were made too soon, as we know this is the first hd unit out, and it does not have a place on the mainboard to install a 8psk module of any kind to get dn hd channels. i have been telling peeps to sell their coolsat 8000's before its too late, too late when they find that mpeg4 is totally up, with mpeg2 gone, which mpeg2 is on 8000 built in, but not mpeg4 (only locals) with outside antenna, not decrypted hd on dn. so we might be in a loss, if you have never had hd on dn. you will never have hd on dn, and eventually bev will not have hd, with the standard converting to mpeg4 on all sat providers. as sonicview and the others with this 8psk module, it opens up dn channels, as this is an actual dn receiver part, attached to the hd fta receiver, to open up dn hd channels, which the coolsat 8000 will never have, as there is no hookup for it at all.
if you do not have this hookup, you will never get dn hd channels, other than outside antenna locals. my 2 cents.
