82w and 91w on diseqc switch
I must be doing something wrong with this setup:
cs8000
dish dn1000.2
far left lnb = port 1
center lnb = port 2
chieta diseqc 4 x 1 switch
Get no signal at all using diseqc switch. Remove diseqc switch and run cable straight from lnb to receiver on 91w gets many channels and strong signal up to 90% both strength and quality, but I get absolutely no signal when I go back to the diseqc. Looks like a bad diseqc switch, but tried two brand new ones with zero results. These diseqc switches work fine on e7 and e8,10.
Am flabbergasted with this! Any help at all appreciated.
Testing: cs8000, dish 1000.2, dish pro 500.

Hey coolray, have you checked the sat setup in your rec to make sure the ports match your connections. But I'm using a diseqc switch, watching Bev 91 and DN 110,119.
I must say, the 4x1 is the worst of all switches. I've changed mine a few times this year. In fact my 110 LNB is bust right now, have to climb on roof to change it, but it's frigin freezin outside.
The elements have been bad this year though, with tons of rain, wind, and lots of cloud cover. Those 4x1's work best in sunny, dry weather. Hope you find a solution.

Re: 82w and 91w on diseqc switch
HAve you tried running the cable direct to the other LNB 82 to see if you get signal?? If you only have 2 lnb's you should try to find a 2x1 switch. That way you don't have 2 open ports to catch the rain.

be sure to turn of power to change wires around .also i find it better if switch is under 50 ft from receiver.they seem to be sluggish if they are on your dish and 100 ft or more away.also this -30 weather like we got here dont help much

Re: 82w and 91w on diseqc switch
Hey Cool, since you only using 2 LNB's, go old fashion(like me). Run your cables from the dish into the house and get you a remote control A-B switch from Radio Shack. Then you can switch back and forth without getting off the couch. It works great for me
