I have Vista Ultimate 64 bit running on my PC and can't seem to open cs3.01 loader to update my cs8000. I keep getting the message: "Component MSCOMM32.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered. A file is missing or invaled." Is it not compatible with Vista? Thanks in advance.

I dont know of any of the loaders that are compatible with Vista..I would suggest you pickup a used laptop as I have done and dedicate it to loading your receiver.. Vista is one of Microsofts Mysterys....
Do you have the loader in the same folder as you extracted it in.

Vista is garbage. No support for any digital cameras...arg. Anyways I got my copy of CSUpgrade V3.01 working on my copy of Vista in about 5 mins.
Windows Vista instructions to install CSUpgrade v3.01 loader
Find and download the mscomm32.ocx file.
Copy the file in the \windows\system32 directory
Turn off the user account control (under the control panel user accounts)
Register the file using the regsvr32
on the loader click properties and then select the compatability tab, from there selet run this program in compatablity mode for windows xp sp2 also. mscomm is a active x control ur missing. try looking it up through windows update or from microsoft website.
CurtisC. Thanks for the info. I was able to open the program but when I browse for a file, I get a window marked Upgrade saying "The common dialog function failed during initialization. This error often occurs when insufficient memory is available." I have plenty of memory available. Thanks again!
