Coolsat 8K no load - ABA DSS

I am having some serious issues with 2 Coolsat 8K boxes. A friend could not get these to load so he asked me to give it a try. I downloaded loader v3.01 and latest bin 20080908 and two previous bins and also the cleaner bin. When I try to download, it just sits there. I have tried three different cables including the one I use for my Coolsat 5K. I have tried hitting start and turning on, I have tried turning on and hitting start, I have tried flipping off and on. I have tried the two previous bins and the cleaner bin. NOTHING seems to work. Does anybody have any words of wisdom for me. It seems almost like the loader has no driver installed. I hooked up the box and was able to scan my bird and I also did a factory reset...nothing....HELP

I went to Rat Shack and bought a Null cable adapter for $10. Took it home, put it on the end of my serial cable and loaded right up. Hope this helps.
