1st Magnum Post I see!

I guess I will start this post off by telling everyone that I am a tester of just about every box out there on the market. I have had my Magnum XV since they first came out and have liked it pretty much up until this last bin? I don't know what team magnum is doing to their bin files, but this last file, 144 is a long way from good. It has freezes, slow auto roll, too many problems to list. I hope they get the bugs worked out pretty soon or up on the shelf next to my Pansat 25ooA it will go. Up until now, they have been pretty good with their files, but now I think they are slipping!

Magnum fires

I am a half mod on another chat room and have been doing fta since 2003
I have to let others know that I got 2 reports of magnums smoking and then flames comming out of the vent holes, these reports come from people that I talk to everyday.
This is not a joke !!! beware this is not good, dead box is fine but fire in the home is NOT !!! it might be better off on the shelf for now.....

Well in all the months that I have been using, or is it over a year now, but anyhow, I have never heard of it either until today. I just read the posts above mine! Can't say that I believe it or maybe they just hooked them up wrong huh? LOL I know that can happen as I smoked my 1st one that I bought and it is still running today. That tells you something!

The Magnum is a great receiver but not for the novice, I have been testing them since they came out too. I have found just like any other receivers you do get some bugs here and there in the bins. I would never put it on the shelf because when the other receivers where all down the Maggie was running strong. The coders are aware of the problems and are working on them. They have also expanded there coding crew.
Here is the C/P
Well folks,
In a joint effort with Team Wicked we have moved outside of free-to-air and helped support the Atmega128. These little chip boards have always been one of my favorite testing articles.

First....Just joined and Hello ABA DSS looks like real nice bunch here.

Carpenter1, thanks for the invite.

Bought a Maggie couple of months ago and it has really rekindled my interest in this hobby. It is a real good STB with a lot of potential. Is it having some programming hiccups now, yes it is....but......the programming team seems very committed to getting all bugs out and, most important, keeping the TV watchers, watching TV.

Have learned a LOT about this box and if can be any help to others here, will jump in and try to help.

Let me clear the air right up front. This is only a hobby for me and nothing else. Been dodging a lot of rocks on other forums over the Maggie.

Molhunter good to see ya.

Cheers
