Re: magnum survival
On reliablefta's site there is no support in over 3 weeks for the 3300 ,but they have the banner on there main page to sell it, what up with that? Is mikesmad ,wine, tvnow, all the same person? why not take the banner off untill there is support for it! and stop asking for more money to support there site, if they have no fix for all the 3300 that have been sold!

Re: magnum survival
They are a good true FTA receiver, if they are new, perhaps ask the Dealer, if you can trade it/them in against a new/different unit. If variety and uptime is something of interest to you then the nFusion should be your next choice in a receiver.

Re: magnum survival
I wouldn't get rid of them... for several reasons.
Be patient with the 3300... last time there was a problem for months the 3300 was one of the only stb's to have a useable fix out. I have several of them and I'm not going to give up on them. Also they have superb video quality.... second to none. IMO.
That said, its wise to have more than one make of stb anyway so you have more chance for working bins at any particular time. Also the slot is functional 2 ways... very handy. My 2 cents worth.

Re: magnum survival
Yes the Maggie wus good for it's time, mine served it's purpose..Iks is the way to go,for the price of a reciever and if it lasts 1 year, you can't buy programing for less than any cost of a receiver,so FTA hobbiests might loose the intrests because of IKS!!!

Re: magnum survival
Gonna keep it. It seems to be the best rcvr around. My neighbours have others they do the job but not as nice. It's technology should prevail....who knows?

Re: magnum survival
Thanks All
I have the Mag XV 3300 as well. I've been watching free TV for months with no problem. I get all the football games and PPV sports but NO new movies. I imagine there are are a few of us at this. It's quite a bit better than an antenna. I get faraway cities for most programming, but it works.

Re: magnum survival
All I know is if you go to Reliable site and say one thing about the support or the box in general, you get the boot! There is not going to be any more support for the maggie. I heard this from a very Reliable source and trust me guys, like someone on this site said earlier, sell them for what you can get for them on Ebay, They are washed up. The only bin that they have had in the past few months is one that they copied from someone else. I know their coders were not getting paid in cash, they were trying to pay them in boxes! LOL Non working boxes

Re: magnum survival
Yeah..****n't be bashing TR...No new fix for a month, and only one little short snippet to say the super bin was in the works! I did get my money's worth, so I won't *****, but they have very poor communication skills and if you call them out; bye bye!
I think Nfusion may be the way to go for backup. I have read a lot of good about it and it's support. Just a guess though...

Re: magnum survival
I own a Maggie and, I posted earlier to say I am watching free satellite TV. I guess, if someone could: Tell me if there is satellite TV no matter what keys you have installed?? I've been watching it for months.
