Maybe... But I refer full EMU fix, so you don't have to connect it to the internet all the time

I think it is going to be the thing for the future, but that could change. I have 4 brands of receivers 2 can run on IKS and the others run on stand alone files(which we all Im sure we all perfer) When the ecm hits I switch to IKS. At the present time we all know there are only two receivers that can run on IKS, Im not sure other receivers will go to the troube or the expense,
somewhere down the road if you dont have IKS feature, you may be in for a very serious down side on their sales. I think you will probale see a lot of receivers go to the scrap pile (door stops as most people say)

Re: do you think IKS is a future feature we will see on more receivers in the future?
i like most here test with a stand alone unit but i have added the nfusion to the mix.i would of course prefer full emu as would anyone.i do sometimes wonder when that happens if charlie would bite the bullett and go to the niagra 3 that from what i understand is very complex and capable.with all the mapcalls and timer functions it seems to me that iks is a very viable solution for alot of companies that could not upgrade the memory and processing power that full emu may require.i am not an expert nor do i claim to be but this is how i see if from what i read and understand.

personally i don't think they all will go to it especially viewsat and pansat because they have enough attention at the time with their court cases why would they possibly want to give anyone anymore ammunition. i don't down anyone for going to the iks brands, its each persons choice but true testers will stay with stand alone boxes because that is all part of the testing like now. we don't write the code but we go back and test old files to see what works the best for us

ya its true because each person knows what company to trust and their internet service provider
So i think IKS is for people that are sure they want to use it
