Re: Experience
Well, lets see...
I started hacking cable in the 80's...
Then I got into Dave & cards in the 90's...
I'm trying to remember all the different cards I had/have...H...HU...Football...Access Card 4?...even a couple of 5's?
All junk now I guess...then we got a stack of Dave & Charlie boxes (doorstops/dust collectors)
Remember the thing we put into the card slot to hold the card?...what was that called? a bootstrap loader? I forget...
Then remember all the little junk trinkets that were suposed to block ECM's that were sold on ebay?
Then came FTA and CoolSat4000...had a bunch of these babies...
Now new CS models & getting into SonicView & NeoSat...as the world turns...Always something new around the corner.

Wow, brought back lots of memories!! I forgot about the little dish hidden in the attic years ago!!! lol So I guess I started long before the CS5000. But with this latest form of FTA, it's been about four years.

Been there and done most of that SJ, man forgot all about the cable boxes(hot boxes) was actually messin with some just a few months ago, with those filters they sell for them, those are kinda cool, blocks the charge to yor account, but was only good for ppv's, unless you have someone that can take the filter off your line..lol

Yeah, when I lived in Miami I had a bud work'in for the cable co, and he would come by & let me raid his truck every once in a while.
And remember the HBO filter up on the pole...all you had to do was drill it out & it looked like it was in place (they use a scope to look at your pole & check the sub list) but it was wide open.
Them were the good old days.

Re: Experience
Guys you are talking about a great technological advancement when they put filters on. When ppv first came out on cable all you had to do was adjust the fine tuning knob on the big dial behind the tv channel changer. Thanks guys for reminding me of those filters.
