FTA 101....rule #1 and #2

WRITE down and SAVE the antenna/dish settings is the #1 rule of FTA...followed closely by rule #2 , which is ALWAYS do a REBOOT before and after a bin upload, or whenever U have ANY problem...

Most problems are due to INCORRECT, and not written and saved, ANTENNA SETTINGS ...which if written down and saved, will take 30 seconds to reinput into your receiver....menu-installation-antenna settings

Most problems can be resolved with a simple REBOOT ( using rear switch, power OFF for 2-3 minutes, then power back ON)..I suggest u do this both BEFORE and AFTER U upload any new file..

Regarding ANTENNA SETTINGS...Simply put, your receiver has no clue what satellites, LNB's, frequencies, switches, switch ports etc, that U have on the dish and roof...so it doesn't know whats going on, and what U did with the hardware up there....so U must tell it, by going up on the roof (bring paper and pen) and looking at your hardware and cables and switches etc and WRITE them down...then U come back to the receiver and input the corresponding info (antenna settings)...so now your receiver understands what ya did and can work correctly...WRITE these down, unless u like climbing on the roof all the time...these antenna settings will often change by themselves, especially after uploading a new file/bin..

BTW...there is NO "1 shoe fits all" ANTENNA SETTINGS...each house, dish, LNB's, cables, switches, switch ports used, are different..

So don't expect other peoples settings to work for you..that will ONLY happen, IF co-incidentially they have the exact same LNB's , switch ports etc and all cabled and combined exactly as you, which is very unlikely..

Thanks to szot
