It doesn't interfere for me, try adjusting your screen size on your computer to see if that helps.

No doubt this wasn't the intent behind placing this ad. I don't think you attract traffic by irritating people. This is a really good website, but this ad makes it harder to access, and IMHO, does nothing to attract business. The folks who see it are already here, but it could certainly drive some away, if they can't access the site because of it.
