Guide To The Neusat Receivers

PLEASE NOTE: A FACTORY RESET IS RECOMMENDED AFTER UPGRADING YOUR NEUSAT TO THE LATEST FIRMWARE ON ALL VIRGIN RECEIVERS!!!
This can be achieved by going to and pressing Menu button -->>> System Settings -->>> Enter pass code (default is 0000) -->>> Default Setting -->>> Press "OK" on remote

Loading A Neusat With Null modem Cable & Latest Bin File
1. Make a folder wherever you want, name it whatever you want, and place the stb downloader for Neusat in it
2. right click on loader icon in folder and select properties -->>> compatibility -->>> compatibility mode -->>> Check it off -->>> and select drop down to windows 98/ME -->>> click apply -->>> then click OK
3. Download latest released bin file and extract it to the above explained folder in step #1
(latest bin file can be found for download here in the Upgrade Files Forum for your particular receiver)
4. Hook up Null Modem Cable from receiver to your PC & make sure switch on the Neusat receiver is switched to the OFF position
5. Open Loader
6. Select your COM port
7. Select 9600 in the second box
8. Select Program Only in 3rd box
9. Select Download in the last box
10. Click Load and find the latest release bin file for your Neusat receiver
11. Click connect and turn receiver on using the switch on the back
12. Everything should start downloading and wait till the loader says finished or done at 100%
13. You have now successfully programmed your Neusat receiver!

Loading A Neusat With USB Removable Storage Drive & Latest Bin File
1.Download latest released bin file, SAVE to desktop, OPEN, and EXTRACT it to the usb drive or desktop
(if extracted to desktop, right click bin file and copy, then paste into your USB Removable Storage Drive)
(latest bin file can be found for download here in the Upgrade Files Forum for your particular receiver)
2. Plug USB Removable Storage Drive into the Neusat Receiver
3. When Prompted (automatic detection window will appear upon insertion of the USB Removable Storage Drive) highlight and select "OK" to the latest bin file
and wait for receiver to say Finished 100% & reboot after programming
4. Once reboot occurs, you have successfully programmed your Neusat Receiver via USB Removable Storage Drive !

Extracting Your Scanned Channel List
*** Steps 1 & 2 ARE NOT necessary if you have completed first programming with Null Modem Cable and STB/Downloader for the Neusat ***
*** Steps 1 & 2 ARE necccessary if you have NEVER programmed your Neusat receiver via Null Modem Cable and STB/Downloader for the Neusat***
1. Make a folder wherever you want, name it whatever you want, and place the stb downloader for Neusat in it
2. right click on loader icon in folder and select properties -->>> compatibility -->>> compatibility mode -->>> Check it off -->>> and select drop down to windows 98/ME -->>> click apply -->>> then click OK
3. Hook up Null Modem Cable from receiver to your PC & make sure switch on the Neusat receiver is switched to the OFF position
4. Open Loader
5. Select your COM port
6. Select 9600 in the second box
7. Select DATA Only in 3rd box
8. Select Upload in last box
9. Click connect and turn receiver on
10. Everything should start downloading and a blue bar will appear in the Downloader Tool
11. Once the loader reaches 100% and states a finished upload, you have successfully extracted your scanned channel list from your Neusat receiver!

Loading A Custom or Regular Neusat Channel List
*** Steps 1 & 2 ARE NOT necessary if you have completed first programming with Null Modem Cable and STB/Downloader for the Neusat ***
*** Steps 1 & 2 ARE necccessary if you have NEVER programmed your Neusat receiver via Null Modem Cable and STB/Downloader for the Neusat***
1. Make a folder wherever you want, name it whatever you want, and place the stb downloader for Neusat in it
2. right click on loader icon in folder and select properties -->>> compatibility -->>> compatibility mode -->>> Check it off -->>> and select drop down to windows 98/ME -->>> click apply -->>> then click OK
3. Hook up Null Modem Cable from receiver to your PC & make sure switch on the Neusat receiver is switched to the OFF position
4. Open Loader
5. Select your COM port
6. Select 9600 in the second box
7. Select DATA Only in 3rd box
8. Select Download in last box
9. Click Load and find your custom or regular channel list for your Neusat receiver
10. Click connect and turn receiver on
11. Everything should start downloading and a blue bar will appear in the Downloader Tool
12. Once the loader reaches 100% and states a finished download, you have successfully extracted your scanned channel list from your Neusat receiver!

Loading A Channel List To The Neusat With A USB Removable Storage Drive
1.Right click on your Channel List and copy, then paste into your USB Removable Storage
2. Plug USB Removable Storage Drive into the Neusat Receiver
3. When Prompted (automatic detection window will appear upon insertion of the USB Removable Storage Drive) highlight and select "OK" to your custom or regular Channel List
and wait for receiver to say Finished 100% & reboot after programming
4. Once reboot occurs, you have successfully loaded a channel list to your Neusat Receiver via USB Removable Storage Drive !
