it seems to me that an ethernet port(very common on many consumer electronics) has many more potential uses (other than iks) than does a hu card programmer, one very strong one being firmware update for pvr function with true fta(why not keep a sat aimed at 123)..the legal defenses for an ethernet enabled fta receiver seem much stronger than the hu folks...it does make sense though to buy from a local dealer with cash if you can..I mean why not?
