Re: FTA card or Reciever???

I've been using an FTA card for 3 years now and still ponder whether to switch to a receiver. The nice thing about an FTA card is that it is on a computer that can be used for lots of other things such as a PVR for satellite, PVR for TV (need TV in card), music centre, internet, picture viewing, etc. Lots of good stuff. Its cheaper in the long run with a computer becasue all these can be added one at a time

What I find bad is the ease of use of the software by the rest of the family. Receiver is way easier to use. Its nice to have the receiver or computer on all the time with the satellite running because whenever you turn it on, it takes a while to get the channels menu populated and it takes a while to start the emunation software working.

Anyhow, there are pros and cons and these are some of mine.
