It has been brought to my attention the information I have obtained claims that DN has slated dates and conditions for a card swap. It's to my understanding that the official swap announcement will be made early to mid next week. Their is a small possibility the effective dates maybe announced at that time, if not shortly afterward. This announcement is meant to effectively put their 14 million plus subscribed customers on notice, it effectively puts the FTA community on notice aswell.

After all my efforts this is all I have at this set time.
As I am made aware of the release of any more information I'll post it.

FOUND THIS AFTER

After some sniffing around I recently picked up this information in areas I slither around in, as promised here is the update I was refering to in my previous post within this thread.

It's current updates on DBS providers. The information in this post has been put together from a Retailer Chat via a [COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]Slingbox[/font][/font][/color]. The information was first reported April 22nd 2008. It comprises of local DBS retailers and representatives from their prospective DBS provider(s). It's purpose is to keep the retailers up to date on any information or changes currently being made by the providers within their industry.

Dish will be starting a Card Swap in June 2008.

Replace the yellow card with the new replacement card. You will also be sent a new card for units like the 722, 622, 612, 222, 211, 625, 522, 381, 322, and 311 that currenty do not use a card. There is an empty slot on these units for a card (the other card is built into the [COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]motherboard[/font][/font][/color][/color])When you put the new card in, it disables the built in smartcard on the motherboard.
