I started with a 500gb drive (which coolsat says it accepts) and I had freezing of video on playback also, then I put on a Maxtor 160GB drive, same issues with freezing, so, I don't think it is the hard drive. So, it could be either the software or coolsat hardware at this point.. I think the drives are fine, up to 500gb.
The files do record to both of the hard drives just fine, but because of the fat 32 format it has a 4 gb limit it seems, so, movies over an hour record in multiple 4gb files.
I recorded a movie the other day, it came up with 2 files, one about 4.2gb and one 1.5gb file. If I play the movie on the coolsat it freezes like I said, but will run one file after the other...
Next I tried to use video redo, changed the .tpo file extention to .ts and I can open the first file, but, then, if I go to open the second file it hangs my program.. so, I am suspecting that the coolsat modifies the others with somekind of Joiner so they play back to back on the coolsat... but I have not been able to confirm this yet...
So, there is my input!
