You should have no problem with the CW3000HD because you have computer background It is more complicated to handle than a CW600. You update the operative system by connecting the CW3000HD using the LAN connection and using the official site. Bin files are installed by using the USB drive once you have unziped the file you install the .bz2 format file. If you plan to buy one, get the combo, that is the cw3000HD and the skywalker 8psk module for the HD channels. It is very difficult to to get the module alone. Good luck with this.
