Re: Viewsat 2000 Ultra

if your remote is programmed to your tv, all you need to do is hit the tv button on your remote and change channels

Re: Viewsat 2000 Ultra

Thanks JRFta and Laser2008 for your pront response, I had done already what you both recomended with no result. Perhaps I did not explained myself clearly about what I want to do. I would like to be able to get (see) in my tv screen pictures from regular cable without having to turn off the FTA box. In another word to switch in between regular cable and FTA box without having to turn off any of them. My FTA box's CR is programed to work both tv and fta box. However, after I press in the cr the tv button then input button I don't get what I want.
I appreciate your help.

Well, it will be good to know the answer to what cisco asked you about how you have both systems hooked. But remember, you will be able to hook as much systems as inputs you have in your TV without needing to turn one or another off. It will be exactly the same as having hooked your STB + your DVDplayer + your PS3 + whatever else you may have; you dont need to turn one or another off to change views, you just need to hit the "TV" key and then the "Input" key in the STB control, then select the input where the cable box is hooked, and then use your cable box's remote to change channels and that will do the trick (I guess you can also set your STB remote to control the cable box.... probably through aux in the STB's control, but I have not done it before). NOW, if what you want to do is to have both systems, the cable box and the STB, in the same "input", then I need to say that I dont think it's possible, and if it is, unfortunately I do not know the know how ....hope this helo though

good luck,

jrfta

Keep in mind that not all the keys in your stb's control will work 100% with your tv set. Try to use your original TV's control to switch between inputs and see if that works.
Again, gl

Re: Viewsat 2000 Ultra

I have the same remote and have a problem which I would appreciate any suggestions. When I turn the Receiver off and back on again, it asks for the code - which I put in 1111. Next the tv screen comes on with no picture (just the channel info). At this point my viewsat remote WILL NOT control anything? I've pressed every sequence of buttons that I can think of. Any suggestions on what I should try?
