CW100R is an amazing product that Captive Works introduced. You can record from not just Captiveworks receivers; you can also use it to record from any FTA receiver. You can even record your old VHS cassette movies to DVDs using this device. Here is a simple guide to setup your new CW100R when you get it out of the box.
Connect all wires that came with the box. Hook it up with your TV and with your FTA receiver to configure. Install new battries in the remote and hold it in your hands to use it. LOL
Press Display Button from your remote; a bar with basic information will show up on the top of the screen. It will something look like this:

If you have never setup your CW100R PVR before, you will most of the wrong information in the bar. That’s what this guide will help you to setup.
1. Press
Menu Button from your remote. You will see many choices including Setup.
2. Go to
Setup and Press Ok button on your remote. Now you will see two main options:
System and
Adv A/V but you will see System option is already highlighted.
3. Press
Right arrow key and first option on right hand side will get highlighted.

TV System -> Selecting this will give you another two options
NTSC and
PAL . In North America we run our systems on
NTSC which is pre selected so you do not have to change this option unless you have
PAL system on your TV.

Screen Saver -> You can turn screen saver
ON or
OFF by pressing right arrow key and then pressing OK key from your remote to select your choice.

Language -> CW100R gives you only choice of two languages for now;
English and
Chinese.
English is Default so you do not have to change unless you are Chinese and want to see options in
Chinese language.

Time Format -> This is where you chose time format you want to use. You can select
12 hours standard time or
24 hours military time. On the right side of screen you will see two options:

Navigate using your remotes right and down arrow to select one of them and press OK key.

Set Date -> This is where you set Date. Press right arrow key to go to the right side of the screen; you will see "MM" field is selected use up or down arrow to select current Month and press OK key and you will see "DD" will be highlighted change it to the right day and then press OK key to go to year and change it to 07. Press Ok and then press Left key to go back to menu.

Set Time -> Now its time to select Current time. The procedure is similar to setting up date so I think I do not need to explain everything again.

Reset Settings -> By pressing this button will reset all your settings back to factory setting.
