CW 100 R how To use.

CW-100R support for schedule recording through EPG menu.
-Connect the CW-100R DVB recorder to your captiveworks receiver through Straight serial cable
-go to EPG
-select any show that you want to record
-click green button and confirm.
-when the time comes, the CW-100R will start record automaticly and when the time finishes it will stop recording

With the CW-100R you can also load bin file to the receiver.
-get whatever the latest file is and save it on a memory stick or SD card.
-rename the file to "SETUPBOX.BIN"
-put receiver on standby
-go to the Play file in the recorder menu and find your file and click OK.

The CW-100R will record the videos in Mpeg4 format, and you can play it back on the TV or on your pc. You can also play other Mpeg4 files that you download from online on your TV.

Just a question ... I use the component connection on my CW600p, but the connection rear of the cw100r seem to be composite (a/v in adapter) ... how the quality of the picture could be the same with this kind of connection (cw600p to cw100r compisite, cw100r to tv component )...the quality won't be at composite level !?!

Before buying a cw100r , I looking to be well informed

thats the bugger with this unit!
and your right,quality cannot be maintained because of this.
i mean its still a nice pic from what i hear.but not as good had they used the better inputs.
they goofed up here.

Thanks for the answer !!!

So, I'll wait for the CW-800s (PVR included and look great !!!)

I'm in need of a second receiver anyway, so why not buy one with PVR already !!!

And I like the captiveworks model : good machine / low price !!
