I will answer my own question to the benefit of others readers. The serial cables got nothing to do with the fact that the TV do not show the cw100R menu. My connections were good, the only thin i did wrong was belive that the menu will show on channel 3 or 4 of the Tv. The tv has to be set to video 1, 2 or 3 to see the menu and there it was in my case. Hope this help somebody else. The serial cables are to feed a cw600 with a bin, And maybe to record from cw600 (not sure yet )

Re: cw-100R conections

I noticed from the CaptiveWorks web site there is only 1 connector at the back of the unit. How do you make the connection from the receiver. The unit at least can accept 3 connections (video, L/R audio).

Re: cw-100R conections

Actually the 100R has 3 type video output (Composite, S-Video, Component)
Only 1 video Input (Mini-phono combination video & audio)
The logic of this design escapes me. Anyway, it would appear that the unit is no longer supported by CW.
