I was previously subscribed to Dish Network and was using their HD receiver with Over The Air HD. The OTA worked excellent. The satellite HD sucked. You could not watch a complete movie in HD without the picture freezing at least once. You would have to reset the receiver and you would miss a good portion of the movie while it resets. Then the first receiver died after only 2 weeks. They sent me another one and it lasted 2 weeks. This one had to have the groung plug cut off and the plug needed to be turned around in the socket in order to remove the BUZZ from the audio. They sent a 3rd receiver and this one worked for a whole month and then just died. At this point I said, "enough of this crap". Goodbye DN. I subbed to Direct TV HD and what a difference. Ota and satelleite HD broadcasts are almost flawless. It seems I am aiming at the same birds as DN does for the HD so that leads me to believe that the DN receiver must be a piece of S__T!

I am very pleased with DTV HD and recommend it to anyone interested.
